About Project
The Neptune Estate, sited along the desirable shores of the Potomac River, was designed for the water-front lifestyle. River-front façades frame the vista, and are fitted with Juliet Balconies for open-air pleasure from within. An array of terraces, as well as a private dock, enhances the water-front experience.
The Neptune Estate is a notable example of how an existing structure can be delicately transformed into an entirely new while working within the extant footprint. Intensive civil engineering was required to adequately reinforce the preexisting foundations so that they could accommodate the expansion of the home. Remaining sensitive to tides, low elevation, and a particularly high water table, we successively excavated nine feet below the water table in order to lay the groundwork for a thoroughgoing renovation.
