The Morrison Residence

Located in stately Chevy Chase Washington, the Morrison Residence, presented significant challenges in both renovation and addition. Working within the existing structure, we succeeded in reviving its interior spaces by imposing a more open floor plan better suited to contemporary living. although it effectively doubled the size of the home, this aggrandizement has been modestly concealed by a renovated façade that retained details of the existing design and street scale to maintain the historic charm of the home. This home, which neighbors have affectionately called ‘the blue house,’ continues to remain naturally integrated with neighborhood, making it the talk of the town.
