The stone façade reinforces its reverence to nature while its bay windows and hexagonal corners provide for panoramic apertures of the woods to incorporate the natural habitat from within. Through a careful siting of the building boundaries, the complexities of the wooded valley defining the lot have been embraced: the building footprint was configured to optimize access to the various entryways, ensure privacy in personal areas, and provide afternoon sunlight in living spaces.
